Game Design
The Game Changer Company developed a 1-hour digital escape game tailored specifically to the bank’s financial products and training content. The escape game was incorporated into a series of five customer events, of which:
- One event was fully virtual, allowing participants to join remotely.
- Four events were held in-person in different cities, enhancing personal engagement.
Each puzzle in the game was personalized to focus on key elements of foreign exchange risk management and the bank’s offerings. Solving each puzzle unlocked crucial financial messages related to the training content, prompting a sales team member from Attijari’s trading room to take over and provide further explanation on the subject.
Game Features
Customized Puzzles
Each puzzle was directly related to a specific product or concept tied to foreign exchange risk management. When a puzzle was solved, it revealed a critical message that was central to the training.
Interactive exchanges
After each puzzle was completed, one of the bank’s market sales representatives would step in to expand on the message revealed, leading to a more dynamic and interactive exchange. This approach made the financial training feel less formal, creating a space for open discussion and learning.
Engagement through gamification
The game was used as an interactive tool to break down complex financial concepts, making them more accessible and engaging for TPE and SME clients. The mix of product presentations, puzzle-solving, and expert interventions ensured the content remained clear and impactful.
Outcome
Enhanced Engagement: The escape game format allowed participants to engage with the content more actively compared to traditional presentations. Clients found the experience more dynamic and enjoyable, which fostered stronger interactions with Attijariwafa Bank’s market sales team.
Improved Learning Outcomes: The personalized nature of the puzzles helped to ensure that the key messages around foreign exchange risk management were fully understood. Participants left the event with a clearer understanding of how to manage exchange rate risks using Attijari’s financial products.
Scalability and Flexibility: The event’s mix of virtual and in-person formats enabled the bank to reach a broader audience, accommodating both remote participants and those who preferred face-to-face interaction. The game’s adaptable design made it possible to tailor the experience to different event settings.
